Admission Terms
Payment
Payment should be done by cash or forwarded by bank transfer to:

We do not accept credit cards or foreign cheques.
Proof of Payment must be sent to TheDarkroom Photos via e-mail or fax to the number +39 055 5121372. The balance must be settled at the beginning of the course/period. Bank charges are to be met by the participants. With all payments please state your name, course and starting date.
Programs, Fees and Extra Fees
No Lab Fee is due for the use of supplied chemicals and for their recovery for all students. Course Fees and prices are published in the page Dates and Rates. Payment instructions are available at Enrollment Form.
The School Direction reserves the right to change course programs, fees, prices and schedules whenever such a measure should be deemed necessary.
Accommodation
In cooperation with a Real Estate Agency, it's possible to start the accommodation procedure, looking for the most suitable lodging in Florence as requested by the student. The participant wil be advised about the address of the accommodation and his/her contact person in Florence time before his/her arrival in Town. All the lodging fees and Agency commissions depend on the accommodation chosen and are established by the Agency. TheDarkroom Photos is not liable for any inconvenience caused by missing or unsuccessful contacts between guest and hosts.
Darkrooms For Rent
To rent the darkrooms it is necessary to show up during office hours (see home page) to complete the enrolmet procedure, the booking and to get the key. A deposit of euro 50,00 is required for the key. The key must be returned to the office within 24 hours after the rental and the deposit will be returned. In case of loss, damage or delay in returning the key the deposit will be not refunded.
Attendance
If the participants decide not to attend classes, to shorten the course or not to use rental period they will not be entitled to any refunds. Deposits and Fees are not transferable from person to person.
Insurance
Participants are liable for any damages caused to TheDarkroom Photos. TheDarkroom Photos is not liable for any belongings lost inside the school premises. We suggest to subscribe an insurance policy against theft, loss of property, accidents or diseases. EU citizens are entitled to benefit from free health assistance, provided that they are holders of the E111 form issued by their national health service.
Privacy
Upon completion of the enrollment students may authorize the school to file their personal data according to the terms of the italian law 196/03 concerning privacy. In conformity with the law, the participants may request that their data be deleted from the files.
Cancellation and Refund
If the cancellation is received at least 21 days before the course/rental beginning the school will return the payment regarding the course/rental.
If the cancellation is received from 20 to 10 days before the course/rental beginning the school will return 50% of the sum paid.
If the cancellation is received beyond the above terms TheDarkroom Photos will keep the whole sum. Accommodation payments refund are established by the Agency.
Cancellation after the issue of VISA certificate is not possible and TheDarkroom Photos will keep the whole sum. In the case the VISA was denied in order to have the refund, it is necessary to send a copy of the document of the Consulate denying the VISA at least a week before the course starts. TheDarkroom Photos must be informed about any cancellation through priority mail, fax or email. Phone calls or phone messages (SMS, MMS, etc...) will be not accepted.
Student VISA
In case of STUDENT VISA TheDarkroom Photos will provide the certificates required by the Italian Consulate.
In case of STUDENT VISA the course fee must be entirely paid in advance before TheDarkroom Photos issues the certificate.
Expenses for the certificate delivery by express courier or priority mail are to be covered by the applicant. In case the participant cannot get a VISA, he/she must advise TheDarkroom Photos sending a copy of the document denying the VISA at least a week before the course starts. In this case, TheDarkroom Photos will refund the sum payed for the course except for the bank or post expenses and penalties for the accommodation bookings. The enrollment fee will NOT be refunded. After the certificate has been issued it is not possible to obtain any cancellation or to modify the course dates.
Once in Italy all foreigners, except those belonging to EU area, must obtain a special permit of stay called "Permesso di Soggiorno". It must be asked to the Questura, showing beside the paper released by the Italian Consulate or Embassy authorizing the study in Italy.
The school will release the Enrollment Certificate only after payment of the whole course.
