Workshop of fashion photography

Schedule: 2 classes per week of 4 hours each

Intensive workshop of photographic technique applied to fashion photography and the practice of photos of models in the studio and on location. The course gives basics of history of fashion photography and evolution of fashion trends over the decades. 

Shooting sessions, indoor and outdoor are scheduled, to experience  both digital systems and film, color and black and white, still widely used in this field of the photographic profession. Workshop is a practical course. Participants will be involved in practice of set of layout and lighting. They will post produce the shots made during the sessions in our digital lab equipped with Adobe Photoshop.

The goal of the course is to give a good understanding of set up making and develop a critical way of conceiving ideas in order to communicate sensations and emotions with photographs. Moreover the participant develops skills in Photoshop post production for skin correction and shape retouch. The student should acquire a good level of self independence to allow him/her to promote him/her self as an assistant to a professional studio or to begin to work independently with basic committee.  

Workshop level is advanced so it is necessary to have a previous photography experience of a good level, and to know how to use the computer and Photoshop elements.

Students will have detailed information about the materials to buy and where during the first day of class. As pre-information, the following personal supplies are necessary for being able to do the required work:

• digital photocamera
• a external hard drive of at least 250 GB to store your photos
• a USB cord to download photos directly from photocamera or a memory card reader
• at least a 2 GB memory card
