Two days on photographic field trip with the class of photography and multimedia, strolling on the hills and wilderness of Colline Metallifere, an unknown part of Tuscany yet amazing and astonishing. During our tour we included visits of important architectural buildings and emergencies, such as the famous roof-missing abbey of San Galgano is, geothermal plants by Enel (Italian electric company), and little villages around the region, such as the abandoned Lago Boracifero (borax lake). A special stop was in one of the biggest areas in Tuscany where borax geysers are, in between Monteverdi Marittimo and Sasso Pisano.
Last but not least, a nice and unexpected encounter in Montecastelli Pisano, with lute-maker Mr. Dr. Philipp Bonhoeffer, former heart surgeon now devoted to music and patron to help young musician to pursuit their dreams. We got a special solo concert for our souls only. Thanks Mr. Philipp. May be next time we’ll shoot a reportage on your art.
