The course The first steps as a graphic designer is recommended for those who want to explore the world of advertising and design, in order to start a future professional training. Similarly, the course is recommended to those who have not a specific interest in the field, but want to get very basic skills to communicate with other professionals, or even just for personal interest.
Aims and objectives
During the course will be introduced:
• The key concepts of graphic design.
• The basics of computer graphics.
• An introduction to Adobe Photoshop.
At the end of the course Graphic Design will be no more a mysterious world, and you will be able to distinguish its areas and possibilities. You will get both the basic skills needed to take a longer courses or to develop very simple designs for personal use.
Prerequisites and requirements
The course is a beginner level, so a previous knowledge of graphic design is not required. Students should own gears and materials as listed at the page Student Guide/Materials for the course.
