Aims and objectives
Subject matters: Personal portfolio and final group exhibition making
In this course students will develop their professional portfolios and learn different methods of self promotion. Students will produce images in the field of photography that they intend to pursue professionally, such as photo-journalism, advertisement, fashion, and others.
During the course, they will discuss various types of portfolios by means of exchange, and will learn about various useful methods of self-promotion, like brochures, business cards, networking, digital portfolio for websites.
Beside the development of the professional portfolio students will prepare their prints for the final school exhibition, where al the best produced during the year will be presented in a final show in a gallery in town.
This course is part of the Photography and Multimedia Academic Professional One-year Course (taught in English language) which is divided in 9 courses (modules) of one-month each. Students can attend modules separately. In order to be entitled with the Professional Certificate, the academic course must be completed with all the 9 modules and a final exam.
Attention, please: all the Photography Professional One-month Courses 40 Hours listed in the English section of this website are part of the Photography and Multimedia Academic Professional One-year Course. All the programs are focused towards a multi-medial use of the images and courses are modular type. Each module is a course of one month (4 weeks). Each course is taught in English language.

The “Professional Photographer and Multimedia Expert” can be easily employed in a wide and diverse range of fields, such as photography, publishing industry, video and audio making. This professional figure can take pictures and videos that demand different styles and techniques, combining creativity and technical knowledge.
After completing the program and successfully passing both the modules and final exams, the student be issued a Professional Certificate in Photography and Multimedia Communications. Prerequisites and requirements
The course starts from a beginner level, so no previous knowledge of photography is required. To entry in a following module requires a knowledge of all the topics described in the preceding modules. Please check all preceding modules before to apply. Students should own gears and materials as listed at the page Student Guide.

(Module 8.) Portfolio Planning and final exhibition
Main topics of the course:
Graphics tools: Adobe InDesign and other minor apps for to make flyers, pamphlets, brochures, catalogues, books;
Catalogue, brochure, book, visit card: self-promotion instruments for your brand-new business;
Basics of graphic design: the meaning of fonts, symbols, colors, and other visual communication skills to implement on your printed portfolio;
Professional printing of books and brochures: visits of professional photography printing labs, digital book printing facilities, typography.
Screen calibration to output: what you see on-screen is what you get on-print;
Digital portfolio for website;
Editing of final exhibition;
Printing, matting and framing final exhibition;
Set up of final exhibition.
