This course is specifically designed to create a web site for any commercial purpose starting from WordPress app. Nowadays economy runs on the Internet. This course will give you the skills to create the web sites and web content to host a commercial activity from a company that sells services to an on line shop that needs to manage a store with physical products. We aim is to create a dynamic and effective website, which will be readable by search engines, safe for the content and with an excellent graphic impact to expose images on the web but also generic content such as a blog.
Particular attention is given to building a site with a database that allows the user to manage photo galleries of products, stock of goods for sale, files of users, making of invoices, and much more.
The program is designed for to manage a web site from scratches, including managing the server and the hosting and every code operation that is required for to make it working at best. Moreover a basic of code programming and web operation is provided, because our goal is to train professionals able to deal with web design from its core. Basics of html and php, for example, are included in the program.
The course also focuses on platforms and applications to manage a website without the need to go through its programming, such as using WordPress app. This provides an additional tool and a quick way to the management of web content in your workflow.

Aims and objectives
In this course you will learn how you should present your content on the internet, avoiding common mistakes and identifying the elements that differentiate a professional website from an amateur’s one. We’ll see how a web site works and learn how to build one with easy to use programs, such as WordPress, that allow you to get good results without having to master programming languages, and above all allow you to focus on the visual impact of the web pages (very important for your business) instead of technicalities.
We’ll also learn some basics of SEO, about search engines and how you can improve the visibility of your website on the Internet. We can thus build a very personal site, choosing its content and what image it should convey to the visitor.
In the specific: understand how a site works; organize text and images for publication on the web; design and implement the graphical layout; create the various pages of the site; create a photo gallery; insert codes for search engines; upload to the server the material that makes up the site.

Prerequisites and requirements
Attention, please: this course is taught in Italian language only. A quite good knowledge of Italian language is necessary to attend the course. Our teachers are all fluent in English language as well, so they can help students with English support, but it is recommended to attend an Italian language course before or beside the Academic course. You can add a Combined Italian language and Academic course, in order to study both subject matters and take advantage of the skills provided by our Academic courses.

The foundations of the structure of a website and the HTML language, learning how to build a simple site.
Topics: What is the World Wide Web; Structure of a site; Meaning of “HTML”; Structure of HTML documents; Titles and text in a web page; CSS styles of the text; Inserting images; Inserting hyperlinks; Relative and absolute paths; How and when to (not) use tables.
We learn to build a website in HTML by using the features of CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).
Topics: Basics of CSS; How to place items on a web page; How to apply backgrounds, colors and styles; Layout with one or more columns; Fixed or elastic layout; Dynamic effects with CSS.
Knowledge of technical aspects is not enough to create a “good” site: In this module we will see how to build a visitor-friendly site using WordPress.
Topics: “User Experience”; Installing WordPress; How to handle WordPress as an admin of the site; How to design the graphical interface of the site; Impact and communication on a visual level; Ease of use; Organization of information; The colors; The arrangement of content; The planning of the links within the site; Installing WordPress plug-ins for adding content and features to the site; Some things to avoid.
Prepare content for the Internet is different from preparing it for a publication on paper: In this module we learn how to create professional content for a site.
