Manage: learn how to manage your photo files with Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, Luminar 4, PhotoDirector and others.
Edit: learn how to pick the best one and keep your choices organized.
Develop: learn how to do basic raw development on your photography files using the adjustments tools provided within your library.
Easily finding your pictures: this is the main goal for using a managed photo library today. This part is called management.
Afterwords you need to make a selection of the best ones. This part is called editing. You need to use the provided tools for to get to the final solution smoothly. Management library apps are designed to deliver this task in a fast and headache-proof way.
Raw file development: this is the last part of the process. You can do this task with external apps, such as Photoshop. The goal of your library is to allow you to use Photoshop without messing up your files all over your hard drive.
We will teach you three new things in a row: filing, editing, development. No one tells you of the need to keep your files wel organized. You listen to people speaking about Lightroom and straight after how to do postproduction… No one talks of photographic filing, archival matters, photographic editing.
What do you know about archiving and editing? This is why we designed this course.
This is a sample of a professional photographic workflow: 1. shooting, 2. importing (filing), 3. editing, 4. development (postproduction), 5. exporting (finished work is delivered).
Goals of the course on management of photographic libraries and raw file development with Lightroom, Capture One, Luminar 4, PhotoDirector and others.
Organising your photo library is paramount today. We produce an impressive amount of new picture every day. Firstly, they come out of our smartphone on a daily basis. Second, the use of a digital camera pushes us to shoot much more than what’s really needed. The point today is to keep all these digital files within a safe environment, organizing them in a logical and easy-to-access structure, assuring yourself they are ready to use when you need them.
How can you achieve such a result? Where should you start from? How should you properly use a DAM (digital asset management) software?
With our short introductory course to manage digital photographic libraries we will help you to find the software that best suites your needs, to learn how to use it and we will give you suggestions for looking ahead with your professional or creative way in photography.
It is necessary to show up with a personal laptop (better if Mac) for to take part to this course. Please make sure that your actual internal HD features a good empty room for to operate with the new software. Best option is to show up with a brand-new external hard drive, best if SSD. Feel free to inquiry us prior to make any purchase for the course.
